Step 1: Get your Teaching Qualification
Formerly known as PTLLS, the Level 3 Award in Education & Training is the recognised entry-level teaching qualification for adult education. It is ideal for those who want to teach private short courses within a salon, academy or home environment.
This course fully meets the requirements of the Level 3 Award in Education & Training and covers lesson planning, delivery, learner assessment, and a practical micro-teach assessment.

This qualification allows you to teach up to the level of qualification you personally hold. For example, if you hold a Level 4 qualification, you can teach learners up to Level 4. You do not need to repeat the AET as you progress academically.

This qualification allows you to teach up to the level of qualification you personally hold. For example:

You will record yourself delivering a 10-minute teaching session based on a skill you intend to teach in the future. This is not a live assessment - there are no Zoom calls, no live teaching, and no audience required.
The video can be recorded in your own time, in a comfortable and familiar environment, and then submitted for assessment.
